Usually, when we talk about “finding our way home”, we mean making it to heaven someday. And while I think going to heaven will be great, I think home is more a state of being than a place. “Home” is our most natural and primitive mode of existence—how we were meant to be all along. And the incredible thing about Jesus is that he said that we don’t have to wait until we die or go to heaven in order to experience home; we can get a foretaste of home now, as we continue to journey toward the ultimate realization of being home.

So, journey with me, as we venture toward home. God promised to make his home in us as we do so. Home is in us as we walk toward home. I want to become more and more in tune with that homeyness everyday.
